Who is behind it
Lorenz Knauft is a saxophonist who also plays flute, clarinet, drums and piano. With his projects Boogie Banausen and Cactus in a garage he makes the music released here. For now the label is a one-man operation based in Germany.
The Label
Lorenz Knauft founded LBK RECORDS mainly to release his own music. The label is at home in roots music: rock ’n’ roll and rhythm ’n’ blues, plus jazz, soul jazz and everything that grooves.
What we do
We release roots music such as rock ’n’ roll and rhythm ’n’ blues as well as jazz, soul jazz and groove. Alongside our own recordings, releases by friends and their projects in these styles are meant to follow. All productions take place within the EU.
What we stand for
For honest, independent work and music that stands on its own. Artists go their own way here, and the sound stays theirs. The label is a member of GEMA and GVL.
